As CMO, Mr. Barnett oversees all of the marketing duties of the academy. He sees this as an opportunity to introduce prospective students and interested parents to the many advantages that AP is offering.
“Through innovation and commitment, I’ve made the other brands I manage powerhouses in their fields,” said Mr. Barnett, “and I will do the same here. Through the expertise of my marketing team, the skills of our athletics department, and the focus of our academic branch, Accelerated Prep will rapidly surpass other such institutions. We will be one of the premier places of study and athletics in the United States.”
A History of Ministry and Entrepreneurship
For Jonathan, business, academics, athletics, and faith have always been close companions. During his time attending Oral Roberts University, for example, he was part of the Division 1 basketball team, was their team chaplain for two years, opened and subsequently sold a successful firework business that helped pay for his tuition, and graduated a year early.
During that time, while meditating on John 5:24, Jonathan was also inspired to found Crossover International. This basketball ministry would go on to travel the world for years, sharing the Gospel throughout Europe via youth basketball camps. They taught both the fundamentals of the sport and acted as witnesses of God’s mercy through Christ.
In order to help fund this ministry, Mr. Barnett founded Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning in 2006. Since then, Oxi Fresh has expanded across the United States and Canada with over 450 locations. The company has earned accolades from Entrepreneur magazine, Inc. magazine, and Forbes. In record time, the brand has become a household name in the world of home cleaning services.
Mr. Barnett also works with both Fresh Sweeps Chimney Sweeps and Air Duct Cleaning and Elephant in the Room Men’s Grooming Lounge. He looks forward to helping these businesses expand their presence around the nation.
A Family Man and Sports Lover
Outside of work, Jonathan loves spending time with his wife Vanessa and their six children: Jaden, Jazelle, Janessa, Justice, Jonathan, and Jianna. He loves attending their various games and school activities. In his free time, he enjoys watching basketball, football, and going to concerts.
