AP Seniors Make College Commitments

Accelerated Prep Seniors Make College Commitments

DENVER – Accelerated Prep’s three seniors – Jacovey Campbell, Ryan Mpouli, and Aly Tounkara – have taken big steps in their future athletic careers with their college commitments.

“These boys are great students with high character and are tough competitors on the court,” said Accelerated Prep head coach David Carey. “They have all the potential to achieve great things, and we have no doubt that they will. We’re wishing them all the best as they embark on this exciting journey and incredible opportunity.”

Jacovey Campbell

Jacovey has committed to playing college hoops at Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs, Wyoming. In 16 games during the 2023-2024 Grind Session season, Jacovey was third on the team in scoring with 12.7 points per game and led the team averaging 4.3 assists per game. He also averaged 2.7 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game.

Western Wyoming is an NJCAA school that competes in the Wyoming Community College Athletic Conference.

Ryan Mpouli

Ryan will continue his basketball career at Eastern Florida State College in Brevard County, Florida. In 16 Grind Session games last season, Ryan was fourth on the team with 8.7 points per game, and second with 6.2 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game. He also averaged 1.4 assists.

Eastern Florida State College is an NJCAA school that competes in the Southern Conference of the Florida State College Activities Association.

Aly Tounkara

Aly is headed to Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. In seven games during the 2023-2024 season, Aly averaged 3.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.0 steal and 1.0 block per game. He also shot a team high 57.1% from the field.

Lindenwood University in an NCAA Division I school that competes in the Ohio Valley Conference.
